Insurance Basics: What’s an EFT? Why should I set it up?

EFT stands for Electronic Funds Transfer.

It is a payment option that we like to call “set it and forget it”. No more worries on if your payments are getting paid or if you’re paying on time. -It’s done for you!

It is set up in 1 or 2 ways depending on your carrier:

  1. Using your routing & bank account number.
  2. Using your credit card/debit card number.

I know what you’re thinking, but there is no need to worry, here’s why:

  • It’s safe & secure! A lot of time and effort goes into keeping your information safe. As an agency we do not keep your payment options saved, only your carrier has that information.
  • It’s efficient, no more forgetting payments!
  • You can save money!-Most carriers offer a discount for setting up for EFT as well as waive, or mayjorly decrease the payment fees!)
